Adolescent Counselling

My approach with teens is gentle, fun, relational, and attuned to their unique developmental stage. Whilst maintaining full and strict confidentiality for the adolescent and if benefiting the teen, parents might be involved in the therapeutic process so that the teenager gets the support they need within their environment and system. I work at a pace that feels safe, using a combination of talk, play, and body-based awareness to help them express what might be difficult to put into words. Whether they are navigating anxiety, low mood, school stress, identity struggles, family challenges, abuse or the impact of trauma, I aim to meet each young person with warmth, respect and a non-judgemental space.
